Monday Meditation

The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love,

he will rejoice over you with singing.

Zeph. 3:17 (NIV, emphasis mine)

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says:

‘In repentance and rest is your salvation,

in quietness and trust is your strength.

Isaiah 30:15 (NIV, emphasis mine)

Word for the day:  QUIET

Not the cessation of sound (although that might be what you need as well) but quietness of spirit and soul and mind.

God has taught me a lot about that Zephaniah verse you mentioned lately! In fact, I posted one of the lessons this morning. Of me trying to explain “mighty to save” to my 4 year old…and ended up learning the lesson myself.

Still praying for you today, my friend. Hugs to you!

I’m so glad these meditations are encouraging for you.

I agree–some days are way tougher than others to find that “quiet” that I need.

Oh, and I got your email about your shaving post, and I went and re-read it. I hope you get the views you need!

Lovely word…quiet. Thanks, Lisa! I needed to be reminded of that. Happy Monday, friend.

Happy Monday to you too! I hope you thoroughly enjoy your Momma Week, and that you get lots of quiet! : )

Quiet, ah such a lovely thought, especially since Marathon oil has been drilling all day into solid rock a short ways from our house.  But passages like Isaiah 30:15 help me to block out the noise and think only of His word.  I am praying for you today thanks to Nikki’s prayer project and thanks for blessing my heart with your blog.

I’m so glad you stopped by today and that you were encouraged!
Quiet is so hard to come by sometimes, isn’t it? Hopefully the drilling will stop soon and you’ll be free from that noise!
