What’s in a word?
Well, it depends on the word.
If the word is kitten, for example, there are concepts that go along with that word like cuddly, fun, responsibility, entertainment.
If the word is deployment, then there are things such as sadness, worry, pride, honor, practicality, prayer, planning, hope, family, time, emotions, and a host of others.
THAT word has made its way into our lives. A second time. Soon. Somewhat unexpected.
Remember my ONE WORD for this year?
PEACE. Remember the part where I mentioned having peace even when there are curveballs thrown at us?
WELCOME TO CURVEBALL #1!
My mind has not totally wrapped around the idea yet. Yes, we’ve been through it before, so it should be “easier” this time. Hah! But there are some differences that will be unique to this deployment. The biggest of these differences is that we will be staying here this time. Last deployment, the girls and I moved across the country to be with my parents.
We have no family anywhere near us. We do have good friends however, and their support will be crucial! Already we’ve had offers of help.
So, expect more posts in the coming year on this whole journey!
